Toda gran aventura comienza con una desobediencia, y la mía fue decidir que el mundo debía ver lo que pasaba en mi cabeza. Estos años fueron el origen de todo, el estallido de un universo que empezó a expandirse desde mi primera galería en Madrid: EMMA. Fue un bautismo de fuego bohemio y vibrante, un tiempo donde el arte no pedía permiso para entrar en hoteles, bares y salones. En Milán, me convertí en un visitante recurrente, exponiendo hasta cuatro veces y aprendiendo que la ciudad del diseño también podía ser mi casa.
Pero, sobre todo, este bienio fue el escenario de un encuentro histórico: la primera vez que saqué al mundo mi cuadro "Autostop a un tren". Esa obra no era solo un lienzo; era mi declaración de intenciones, la semilla de toda mi carrera y la brújula que me ha guiado hasta hoy. Me divertí descubriendo que un pintor es un soñador con los pies en el asfalto, convencido de que, si vas a intentar subirte a un tren en marcha, más vale que lo hagas con estilo y una mirada propia. Aquí nació el viaje; el resto, como dicen, es geografía.
Every great adventure begins with an act of disobedience, and mine was deciding that the world had to see what was happening inside my head. These years were the origin of everything, the blast of a universe that began to expand from my first gallery in Madrid: EMMA. It was a vibrant, bohemian baptism of fire, a time when art didn’t ask for permission to enter hotels, bars, and lounges. In Milan, I became a recurring visitor, exhibiting four times and learning that the city of design could also be my home.
But above all, this biennium was the setting for a historic encounter: the first time I brought my painting "Hitchhiking a Train" (Autostop a un tren) out into the world. That work wasn’t just a canvas; it was my statement of intent, the seed of my entire career, and the compass that has guided me to this day. I had the time of my life discovering that a painter is a dreamer with his feet on the asphalt, convinced that if you’re going to try to catch a moving train, you’d better do it with style and a gaze of your own. This is where the journey was born; the rest, as they say, is geography.
